We pray together.

Every September, the South Florida PBA partners with Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church to host the Feast Day Celebration of St. Michael. This celebration is often referred to as a “blue mass” because—according to Catholicism—St. Michael the Archangel serves as the patron saint of law enforcement. Despite it being a Catholic mass, this service honors every law enforcement officer, regardless of his or her faith.

In addition to paying tribute to law enforcement, the Feast Day Celebration of St. Michael gives officers an opportunity to come together to renew their faith, uplift their spirits and honor their commitment to one another, their families and the communities they serve. The surviving families of fallen officers often attend this service, as it reminds them that they will always be part of the law enforcement family and that their loved ones are never forgotten.
