Our Mission
The South Florida PBA is made up of more than 6,500 police and correctional officers working for Miami-Dade County and more than 40 other agencies.
Incorporated in December 1963, the South Florida PBA is an aggressive, pro-active union of professional law enforcement officers seeking to protect your rights. For more the 30 years, we have worked to promote professionalism among law enforcement officers.
Throughout the years, the South Florida PBA has established a positive identity in South Florida and has proven itself as a strong force in bringing about change.
The South Florida PBA works closely with many community-based citizen organizations for the creation of better relations between the community and law enforcement.
Support Law Enforcement
The Love Fund
First established in 1984, the Love Fund is a charitable [501(c)(3) organization that fills a special need: it aids officers and their families when no other funds are available to do it. Any money collected by the Love Fund helps pay for the funerals of officers killed in the line of duty, education for the children of fallen officers and psychological counseling for officers and their immediate family members dealing impacted by the stress that comes with being a law enforcement officer. Since its inception, the Love Fund has helped officers facing almost any catastrophe imaginable—from illness and home damage to any other obstacle that threatens their ability to serve the community.
The Love Fund is funded by South Florida PBA special events and outside contributions for its success. As a federally-recognized charitable organization, all contributions to the Love Fund are entirely tax-deductible.

Florida PBA Heart Fund
BUY A “SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT” TAG &
SUPPORT THOSE WHO PROTECT YOU
Twenty dollars of the proceeds from the tag will be deposited into a charitable fund, the Florida PBA Heart Fund, for the Association’s members.
The intent of the Heart Fund is to provide financial assistance to the families of members who are killed or injured and permanently disabled in the line of duty under certain circumstances. An added plus is that contributions made to the Heart Fund are tax-deductible!
