Steadman Stahl

PRESIDENT

As President of the South Florida PBA, Steadman Stahl oversees all association operations, members, and initiatives, and serves as the face of the organization for both the public and membership alike.

In 1990, President Stahl began his law enforcement career as an officer in the Homestead Police Department. In 1993, he was elected as a Municipal Representative for the Dade County Police Benevolent Association and continued his involvement in the organization even after moving to the Miami-Dade County Police Department in 1997. Quickly moving through the ranks, Stahl was promoted to Sergeant in 2007. Stahl’s over 30 years’ service as a sworn officer and nearly 30 years with the PBA has made him a powerful voice for the men and women of South Florida law enforcement. Under his leadership, what is now the South Florida PBA has grown to its largest and most inclusive membership in history, which represents numerous Miami-DadeCounty municipalities, Miami-Dade County Police Department, Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation, Animal Services, 911 Communications and now includes the officers of Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Key West Police Department.

President Stahl also serves on the Florida PBA Executive Board, Board Member of the Police Officer Assistance Trust (POAT), 200 Club of Greater Miami, and is also seated on the board of the Saint Thomas Ethical Leadership Advisory Board and numerous other community-oriented boards throughout South Florida. He’s been recognized by the Latin Builders Association as Public Administrator of the Year in 2019, The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida as one of the 12 Good Men of 2021 and received the Presidential Award from the League of Prosecutors. President Stahl ran on a platform of making a difference which he continues to stay engaged in the community to bring the positive light of the men and women who bravely protect the citizens of our counties.
