    PABLO LIMA, PBA Vice President

An End of an Era and New Beginnings…

Members, you’ve spoken, and your voices have been heard. Let me first begin with once again congratulating President-Elect Steadman Stahl, and Executive VP-Elect John Jenkins, and VP-Elect David Greenwell; as well as the entire new board.

It has been an honor to serve as your VP- alongside President John Rivera, and the entire stellar PBA team that has collectively worked together to protect and fight for your rights on a local, state, and yes, even at the national level. It has been a privilege to watch President Rivera bring the PBA from mere bankruptcy and leaving it to your newly elected board with a healthy financial status and a reputation second to none! Thank you, President Rivera, for your dedication and work over the last twenty-five years! Your reputation for being a true champion and trail blazer is well known throughout the nation.

To the newly elected board, all of you, collectively- I wish you an easy transition, for the tasks you have a head of you are burdensome at times, and challenging, to say the least. While we may not have seen eye-to-eye pre, during or post election time, I see no greater cause that you can be involved with, than protecting those who protect our communities at large. I sincerely wish each and every one of you the best as you take over the PBA as of January 29th, 2018, because your success will be the members’ success- and as I always have said, it’s ALL ABOUT THE MEMBERS!

As for me – I will take the lessons I have learned over my tenure at the PBA and cherish the memories I will soon leave behind. The friendships and the bonds that I have formed with some of you, as well as those I have served with at the PBA will forever be etched in my heart. To each and every member, please know that I am only a phone call away.

If I may leave you with this – in the last couple of years the anti-police sentiments have been palpable throughout the nation- I urge you to remember to always take the rocks (figuratively speaking) that a small percentage of society may throw at you and build a monument!

It’s NOT goodbye, but rather see you out there!
    Pablo A. Lima
