About the Fallen Officer Tribute
The Dade County PBA commissioned the “Fallen Officer Tribute” to serve as a visual reminder of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers, members of our community, who gave their lives so that we could live in peace.
Each mannequin is wearing a shirt inscribed with the fallen officer’s name and date of death.
Each year, the Dade County PBA, Miami-Dade Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz and members of the community are come together to host a “Support Our Police” motorcycle ride and rally as a show of support and appreciation for law enforcement.
The PBA Law Enforcement Awards Gala, which takes place each May, is attended by approximately 1,000 guests, including law enforcement officers and their families, state and local government leaders, members of the judiciary and citizens from our community.
The St. Michael's Day Celebration is an annual service held to celebrate St. Michael, the patron saint of police officers (law enforcement). While St. Michael is a Catholic saint and the celebration is held in a Catholic church, all faiths are invited, welcomed and embraced. This is a gathering where we celebrate one another, while also paying our solemn respects to our fallen officers.
